Make Makabansa learning more meaningful and engaging with this Grade 2 Makabansa learning materials package, designed to follow the Grade 2 Makabansa Three-Term Budget of Work and its identified Learning Competencies.

The materials are organized BY WEEK, making it easier for teachers to identify the specific competency covered in each learning period and match the appropriate activities with their lessons.

🌸 WEEK 1–2

Kahulugan ng Kultura

Learners will:

• Nabibigyang kahulugan ang kultura.

The activities introduce learners to the basic concept of culture in a simple and child-friendly way. Learners are given opportunities to recognize that culture is part of everyday life and can be seen through the ways people live, communicate, celebrate, create, and interact with others.

🎨 WEEK 3–5

Kulturang Materyal at Di-Materyal ng Komunidad

Learners will:

• Nailalarawan ang kulturang materyal at di-materyal ng kinabibilangang komunidad.

The activities help learners identify and describe the different forms of culture found in their own community.

Learners explore examples of:

🏠 Kulturang Materyal – things that can be seen and physically experienced, such as traditional clothing, food, houses, tools, crafts, objects, and other products of the community.

❤️ Kulturang Di-Materyal – beliefs, values, traditions, practices, language, celebrations, customs, and other ways of life shared by members of the community.

🎯 Focus: Identifying and describing material and non-material culture found in the learner’s community.

🌱 WEEK 6–8

Kultura at Pagbabago ng Pagkakakilanlan

Learners will:

• Naipaliwanag ang kaugnayan ng kultura sa paghubog ng pagkakakilanlan.

The activities guide learners in understanding how culture helps shape who they are as individuals and as members of their community.

Learners are encouraged to recognize how family traditions, community practices, language, values, celebrations, and other cultural experiences can contribute to their sense of identity and belonging.

Pagpapahalaga sa Kultura ng Komunidad

Learners will:

• Napahahalagahan ang kultura (materyal at di-materyal) ng kinabibilangang komunidad.

The activities encourage learners to show appreciation and respect for the different cultural practices and traditions found in their community.

Learners are given opportunities to think about ways they can:
